Garden pay-off

We have had a great summer with garden corn, onions, brocolli, cauliflower, potatoes, squash, watermelon etc. Now is the end of this growing season and now I get to learn how to bottle the mountains of tomatoes and peppers. . . Wish me luck this weekend!

Birthday Re-Do

Abbie's first birthday was celebrated while we were in Colorado at a pizza place on the drive back to our camp. However, the place was pretty dark and I had to use a disposable camara so only one picture turned out. (I should have listened to my sister-in-law Kim and used the flash sooner!! ughhh!) So we made a quick cake one Sunday and decided to turn it into Abbie's birthday. (Technically the 'cake' in CO was a slice of cheesecake that she didn't even like.)
She loved this cake! Yes, that thing pointing out of the top of her head is an attempt at a hair-do.

Our Puppy

No we didn't get a dog that is just what we call Abbie! She loves them and gets so excited to see dogs real or otherwise. Here's some pictures of Abbie showing you just why she is our puppy.
-She does tricks
-We have to hide our shoes from her because she likes to chew on them! (couldn't find proof in a pictures yet)
-Her favorite things to do or play with are dogs. She has none of the fear that the rest of my kids seem to be born with!

First day of school

This school year is a little more hectic than in years past. As you can see by the first day of school pictures we start at 7:15am taking Savannah to school when it's just getting light outside. Then we walk Max to school at 8:40am. Then Brady's bus picks him up at 12:32pm. While Savannah is in sports Abigail and I have 3 1/2 hours to get everything done at home but when she is not it's down to 2 hours before we start the picking up process. Now I guess I will start feeling like the taxi service I've always heard about!

Abbie was scowling at me when the bus finally took Brady away like she couldn't believe I was letting that thing take her brother. She was quite upset!

In the beginning....

I was suppose to have this blog up and running by the time school started. Two weeks late is not too bad I guess. The kiddos started school August 31st. Savannah is in 6th grade in middle school, Max is in 3rd, & Brady is in afternoon Kindergarten. (Abigail just gets to hang out with me). They are all doing great. Savannah has already had two cross country meets and she also started her first job. I'll post some first day of school pics when I get a chance.
