Abbie's Bed

So back in August I saw this headboard on Pinterest and I printed it out to show Wade.  It looked simple enough to do on my own.  Wade looked at it and didn't really say much.  But the wheels were rolling and I think it was the next day he showed me some drawings for a bed that he would make for Abbie.  Same rustic style just much more complete.  A few days later he had me meet him in this dusty field, in 100 degree weather,  looking through piles of old barn wood.  Two weeks later we found out that old gray barn wood is not too practical for a 3 year olds bed.  So we had to decide on a slightly different look.  But I LOVE IT!!

Wade worked his magic and in less than a month. . . Abbie has a bed.  I have to laugh at the colors in her room because my older sister LaNell decorated our room in the same yellow and green and I couldn't stand it.  As soon as she was gone I painted it peach to go with my oh so stylin' peach, white and gray scheme (complete with flamingo's!).  I'm sure my little sister Tricia couldn't wait to get rid of me either.

Last days of summer . . . .

At church I didn't have a 'Friend' magazine or anything like that to give Brady to read but I did have my Young Women's camp manual.  So Brady studied the survival section and came home and made these 'tents'.  At least he learned something during Sacrement meeting:)!

Jam session in our family room.

Last night sleeping on the trampoline (during the week at least).

Max plays on the BSU field.

I always thought the 'center' on a football team was suppose to be the big fat guy.  (My point of reference is "the Fridge"?).  Apparently not because that is the position Max is playing this year (so far).

He is #44 (again) on the green jersey team The Hawaiian Warriors.
(so far 1-0 this season)

Abigail turns 3!!

  • On August 6th Abbie turned 3 years old.  Her birthday menu choices were:
  • Breakfast-Donuts
  • Lunch- Macaroni and Cheese
  • Dinner- Pizza
Savannah & I took turns doing the cake and she loved it.

Her personality is more 'drama Queen' than 'princess' but we still LOVE her.
